Bernard Amadei, Ph.D. |
|
Bernard Amadei is Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He received his PhD in 1982 from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Amadei is also the Founding President of Engineers Without Borders - USA and the co-founder of the Engineers Without Borders-International network. The mission of EWB-USA is to partner with disadvantaged communities to improve their quality of life through implementation of sustainable engineering projects, while involving and training internationally responsible engineering professionals and students. Among other distinctions, Dr. Amadei is a 2007 co-recipient of the Heinz Award for the Environment and a newly elected member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering. |

Karl G. Linden, Ph.D. |
Karl G. Linden is Professor of Environmental Engineering and Liebman Faculty Fellow at The University of Colorado at Boulder. He teaches classes on Physical and Chemical Treatment Processes, Water Reuse, and Fundamentals and Applications of UV Processes in Environmental Systems. Dr. Linden’s research has focused on efficacy of alternative technologies in water treatment and water reuse such as UV irradiation for inactivation of microbial pathogens; and the use of advanced oxidation for the degradation of environmental pollutants.Dr. Linden is an associate editor of ASCE Journal of Environmental Engineering and a founding board member and International Vice President of the International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA). |

James Persson, MD, MPH

James is a medical doctor with interest and expertise in public health in the developing world. James has studied the implications of life support technologies on public health both in the developing world and for human spacecraft. James is a specialist in aerospace medicine with the US Army. James' advisory role with Manna is independent of the US Army. |

Dean Muirhead, Ph.D.

Dean is an environmental engineer and volunteer member of the Johnson Space Center Chapter of Engineers Without Borders-USA. He designs water systems for NASA spacecraft and future extra-terrestrial outposts. His service to Manna Energy is independent of NASA. |

Chris Stott
|
Chris is President and CEO of ManSat Ltd, which negotiates geostationary orbits and associated radio frequencies for commercial space ventures. Chris is a founding Director of Manna and brings with him experience managing international business activities coupled with prior international NGO field and managerial experience from his work with Life Education Trust International. |

Michael Potter

Michael was founder and President of Esprit Telecom plc., a pan-European telecommunications services provider. He grew the company to 1,000 employees in more than nine European countries and a market capitalization of a billion US dollars. Michael now heads-up Paradigm Ventures a family owned investment firm. Michael is a member of the TED forum (Technology, Entertainment & Design), which is an organization that has a strong interest in bringing creative solutions to help solve problems in the developing world. TED has partnered with the Clinton Global Initiative current effort to improve health care in rural Rwanda. |
